Dear Friend,
We invite you to join the Studio Symphony Orchestra in RBAI's Common Hall on Saturday 17th October at 7.45pm for our "Orchestral Masterpieces" concert, our annual tribute to our founder Dr. Havelock Nelson and our longest-serving conductor David Openshaw. We are delighted to be celebrating our 80th Anniversary this season and, for our opening concert, we have put together a very special programme which will be directed by our Principal Conductor Tanya Houghton and led by our Professional Leader Zuzanna Edmonds.
We hope that you will enjoy the dramatic storytelling of Mussorgsky's Night on a Bare Mountain and Stravinsky's incredible Firebird Suite, head with us to warmer shores as we remember our founder Dr. Havelock Nelson and perform his delightful Caribbean Suite, and relish Arutiunian's energetic Trumpet Concerto performed by our very own principal trumpet, David Johnson.
Tickets are now on sale at https://wegottickets.com/f/28074 Tickets may also be purchased at the door but we recommend booking in advance to avoid queuing. There is plenty of free car parking within the school grounds.
It would be a great help to us if you could pass on this email to anyone you think might be interested. A warm welcome awaits everyone.
We do hope that you will be able to join us and look forward to seeing you in the Common Hall at RBAI on Saturday 17th October.
